Ever needed to test a website or app for users in another time zone without messing with your system clock? I discovered a simple trick using Chrome/Edge DevTools that makes this super easy.

Step 1: Open DevTools

Press F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I to open DevTools in your browser.

Step 2: Access the Command Menu

Press Ctrl+Shift+P (or Cmd+Shift+P on Mac) and type Show Sensors. Select it.

Step 3: Override Your Time Zone

In the Sensors tab, find Time zone override. Pick the time zone you want—like Europe/Zurich for Switzerland.

Voilà! Your browser now behaves as if it’s running in that time zone, without touching your system clock.

Why This Helps

  • Test time-sensitive features (like 9–5 work hours, promotions, or scheduling apps).
  • Debug time-zone specific bugs faster.
  • Keep your local system untouched while testing globally.

Little tricks like this save time and make QA much smoother. I’ll definitely be using this one more often.
